A moth trap steady bar is only needed if you wish to hold a straight tube-light vertically in one of our traps. It is not needed when using standard Edison Screw (E27) bulbs. The Ranger steady bar is screwed to the trap cone, whereas the Safari XL steady bar clips round the outer ring of the trap.
A single steady bar will support shorter length two- or four-pin tube lights, whereas a double steady bar (only available for the Ranger trap) is needed for longer tubes.
You cannot use a rainshield with a vertical tube-light and steady bar setup.
